The Sitting Man

imgp3442Life size sculpture school art project. I welded “Sitting Man” out of scrap steel from the dump and generously donated silverware (pumpkin not included). The right hand I wanted to have full range of motion, but settled instead for functioning fingers. I used motorcycle chain for the joints, and string for the various tendons and muscles in the fingers. The result was a fairly impressive hand that enthralled many a classmate.
